    We, the undersigned, support the Plastics and Packaging Reduction Act HB0209 (SB0313). Collectively we recognize the harmful impact that plastic bags have on Maryland’s environment, including our waterways, our bay, and the connected oceans at large. We are fed up with the harmful impact plastic bags have on our health, our economy and our quality of life. Multiple states across the country have successfully banned plastic bags and have seen positive changes in behavior, with an overall decline in the use of disposable bags. We believe the Plastics and Packaging Reduction Act HB0209 (SB0313) and it's BAN on plastic bags, and SALE FLOOR on approved alternative bags will most assuredly change Marylander’s thought processes and behavior around harmful plastics for the better.
